In Biei, the same crops cannot be cultivated continuously, so farmers change their crops every year and match the terrain of Biei, turning the landscape into a famous giant patchwork. Walking on the dreamy and winding Patchwork Road, you will feel like strolling in paradise.

The most prestigious scenic road in Biei is the Panorama Road, which is 23.6 kilometers long. Tourists can see the sweeping views of the hills and fields. 
It takes roughly 2.5 hours to finish the Panorama Road by riding a bike without a rest. 
On the way you will pass the Shinei-no-Oka Observatory Park, Bibaushi Elementary School, Shikisai No Oka, Takushinkan, Philosophy Tree, Chiyoda no Oka Observation Deck, Sanai no Oka Observatory Park, and other popular landmarks.
 

The biggest lavender field in Japan is the Tomima Garden Farm, which was built by Tokuma Tomita in 1903. Tourists can see various flowers in different seasons with the beautiful Mount Tokachi and Yūbari Mountains standing in the distance. 

Its famous colorful blossom fields are like a splendid rainbow on the ground. Tourists can buy various herbal products as souvenir in the Dried Flower House designed by Len Alkemade, the Dutch floral designer. 

Bieisenka Honten was established in 2007 and garnered one star in Michelin Guide. 
Tourists can buy seasonal vegetables and processed products in the Senka Market, purchase various instant and to-go delicacies in the Senka Factory, and enjoy delicious produce in the ASPERGES restaurant. 
The main purpose of Bieisenka is to promote the agricultural and animal products locally produced in Biei to sell them directly to the consumers, letting the customers interact with the place of origin.

Japanese and Western confectionery in Hokkaido

Rokkatei mainly sells Japanese and Western confectionery. The elegant package of hand-painted flowers and plants was designed by artist Naoyuki Sakamoto.

The Rokka Library, Nakasatsunai Art Village, Rokka Forest, and Rokka Sanso are all included in Rokkatei Confectionery Co. Ltd. 

Rokkatei is located right next to Furano Winery. In the well-lit and high-ceiling space of the winery, visitors can see grape fields all around. The winery features the signature products of Rokkatei and sells local-limited white grape chocolate, grape cake rolls, and grape ice cream that are not available at other branches.

Shiroi Koibito, or White Lover, is the most well-known dessert brand in Hokkaido, and it opens a huge Shiroi Koibito Park full of the dreamy fairy tale atmosphere. 

Beside the mini railway, rose garden in full bloom, Sapporo Clock Tower that rings every hour on the hour, and Aurora Fountain, visitors can also see the production process of the dessert Shiroi Koibito to be present in the joy and persistence of quality during dessert making.
